Hundreds of pupils in Chesham will miss school on Wednesday as teachers walk out during the public sector strikes.

Classrooms across Chesham will be empty on Wedensday as teachers strike.
Thousands of teachers and public sector workers across the country are striking on Wednesday over the government's proposals to change public sector pensions.
Chiltern Hills Academy in Chartridge Lane, Chesham will close for the day. In a letter to parents headteacher Kevin Patrick said: "We have a large number of staff who belong to the unions involved in the proposed strike action. I have therefore now taken the decision to close school to all students on this day on the grounds of students' safety and our duty of care - we would be unable to oversee them safely during their normal lessons, at break and at lunchtime.
"The school will remain open for staff not taking part in the industrial action. I am very sorry for the inconvenience caused by this action.
"I would encourage our students on this day to use BBC Bitesize, SAMLearning and CHA VLE for coursework completion. Our sixth form students could use this time with extended reading and personal study.
"I am pleased to be able to confirm that the Footloose performance scheduled for the evening will proceed. The trip for students to the Swan Theatre will also go ahead as planned; all students going to see An Inspector Calls should be at school by 12.45pm on Wednesday.
"Could I make it clear that this action is not against the school itself, but is part of national industrial action organised by trade unions about changes to the pension schemes of their members. We must all hope that the issues over which the industrial action has arisen are resolved as soon as possible."
Other schools in Chesham that will be closed include Heritage House School, Waterside Combined, Ley Hill School, Brushwood Junior School and Elmtree School.
