Nominate Chesham's Finest!

The 2012 Mayoral Awards, sponsored by the Buckinghamshire Examiner, are now open for nominations! Do you know someone who goes the extra mile for Chesham, be it litter-picking their street, doing the shopping for elderly neighbours, or volunteering for a local club? Maybe you know a young resident who counters the negative sterotypes about "the youth of today"? Or are you bowled over by a local business who does their bit to support the town? If so, let us know about it!

There are three awards up for grabs, and all it takes is a quick and simple form to make a nomination. The deadline for nominations is Friday 30th March and the winners will be announced at the Annual Town Meeting on the 10th May. Town Mayor, Cllr Derek Lacey said, "There are so many special people in Chesham who give their time for the benefit of the community. In particular there are lots of young people making a positive difference, and I would like to see their efforts recognised".
