Police link two robberies in Chesham

Police are appealing for witnesses after two robberies in Chesham, which police believe may be linked.

Witnesses sought to Chesham robberies
The first incident happened on Saturday, January 14 at 5.15pm, in an alleyway between Tom Scott House, Pearce Road, and the cemetery. A 14-year-old girl was walking down the alleyway when she was stopped by a man and a woman. The man pointed a knife at her and took the victim's handbag and her mobile phone.
The victim was not injured in the attack and ran to a friend's house nearby to get help.
The second incident happened on Wednesday, January 25 at 10.25pm. A 35-year-old woman was walking along the alleyway between Alexander Street and Cameron Road, when she was stopped by a man and a woman.
The man produced a knife and demanded money. The victim told her she had none and the man said he was going to search her. The victim refused and the man and woman ran off.
The victim was not injured and no property was stolen.
A 24-year-old woman and an 18-year-old man have been arrested on suspicion of robbery in connection with the incident and have been released on bail until February 16.
