Chesham Park Community College celebrates GCSE results
Headteacher, Mr Kevin Patrick, said: "We are very pleased with the GCSE results. The majority of our students have met their individual academic targets and they deserve to be congratulated on their achievements.
"This year, more students than ever intend to continue their studies with us in our successful and expanding sixth form studying either A Level courses or a BTEC pathway."
Outstanding GCSE results were achieved by many students, the following should be particularly highlighted for achieving five or more 'A*' or 'A' grades: Daniel Cady (six A grades), Hannah Digby (six A* and three A grades), Taisha Egan (five A grades), Grace Oliver (two A* and five A grades), Haydn Palmer (five A grades), Connor Reid-Jones (two A* and five A grades), Jonathan Wood (one A* and four A grades).
Over the summer break the sixth form building has been completely refurbished. A new study space has been created to cater for the growing sixth form numbers, together with better ICT access and an open plan common room area. The increased number of GCSE students who have chosen to continue their A Level studies indicates how well they feel supported and how much they appreciate the dedication of the staff at the College.
The staff at Chesham Park are looking forward to seeing many of last year's Y11 students, together with students from other schools, as they enrol for their Sixth Form courses.
The enrolment for students who wish to join the Sixth Form at Chesham Park (transforming to the Chiltern Hills Academy) is 10am–1pm on Friday, September 2.
Staff will be available then and at the beginning of the term to help and advise all students as they make choices for their future studies. Applicants can alternatively contact the Head of Sixth Form, Mr Philip Miller, email: pmiller@bucksgfl.org.uk
