Here's a cafe owned by lovers of art (some really beautiful and original stuff on display as you drink your green-tea or Latte), of live music and of great homemade food. And greatly beloved by a loyal customer-base. I have seen live acts there: some incredible performances from young, local, established and semi-forgottens alike. A great atmosphere, a great welcome, and a very interesting and interested team who bend over backwards to make sure it's a good experience for all. If you can get tickets for a New Year's Eve party there - DO IT!

ReportThe Drawing Room in Francis Yard, East Street, Chesham, is a really unique cafe. In the summer you can sit outside where there are plently of tables and chairs. In the colder months you can sit inside where you are surrounded by some wonderful art, there is also a gorgeous roaring fire.
The food is Fairtrade and they do some delicous cake and coffee, and the hot chocolate is to die for!
Really interesting little cafe. I had probably walked past The Drawing Room sign a thousand times but i've only recently gone in, and it was a really interesting little place. Completely different to any of the other cafe's in Chesham, and a much more interesting visit than going to Nero or Starbucks. They have live music on some Fridays i believe, but not had a chance to catch a show yet. Good food, good tea/coffee, friendly staff, and interesting art to look at.
Can't believe I'm the first person to review this on here - I hope that's not a suggestion that the rest of you haven't been down there because if that's the case then you are all really missing out! A one of a kind place, serving very nice homemade food and cake as well as a good selection of hot and cold drinks. It doesn't do it justice simply to list The Drawing Room as a cafe or tea room, because it also functions as just about everything else: it started as a gallery and still retains this elements, displaying lots of pictures and things to buy, but it's also a music venue for emerging and aspiring local musicians and groups, which is such a great idea and has clearly proved popular. Overall, it's a fabulous place to go to feel inspired and be around people and things that engage with local arts and culture. Incredible.
