Chiltern, South Bucks and Wycombe District Councils are currently looking into proposals to bring together their management teams with a single Chief Executive.

In a statement this week, the Leaders of the three district councils Chiltern (Councillor Nick Rose), South Bucks (Cllr Adrian Busby) and Wycombe (Cllr Lesley Clarke) said: “We intend to bring together our officer teams with a single Chief Executive, to create savings, maintain frontline resilience and provide better services to the public.”

All three Councils are used to working together, having long standing partnerships, and have broadly similar characteristics and needs with the shared imperative to save money.

Following the appointment of a joint Chief Executive later in 2011, the councils will rationalise their senior teams to bring about more cost effective service delivery. The three councils will retain their independence as separate sovereign bodies, form a partnership of equals and be supported by a shared management team.
