I really think Chesham needs a soft play area for children and was looking at setting one up in the town. During my research I discovered someone had tried to do this before at Chess Business Park in 2009. Does anyone know why this never materialised? Also would you use a soft play area in Chesham? Where do you currently go if you use one?

Not sure if you got any further on this or hit a wall but I would DEFINITELY use a soft play in Chesham! I would really REALLY welcome somewhere, particularly with a good cafe and rooms for parties / groups.... Hartbeeps for instance!!

I think a soft play place in Chesham would be great, especially one with a nice child friendly cafe area too. I know a lot of people would use it as you have to drive to get to one at the moment and I am sure it would be well used if there was one here. If it did have a function room bit and one or more of the current providers like hartbeeps etc were interested, you could even get people in with things like Gambado in Watford with messy play, singing groups etc and then you stay and play in the soft play after the class.
Really hope you are successful and that you can set one up!

My children are too old for soft play now but when they were little, especially during the winter I used to wish that someone would open an accessible soft play place. Other parents would go off to one in Berkhamsted but without a car it was impossible for me and my children and buses didn't have space for pushchairs. Lots of people move out to Chesham to bring up their children, and then have to travel to Hemel and Wycombe because of lack of facilities like a half-decent cinema or a McDonalds' that hosts parties (my daughter had one at the old Chesham one, great, no cooking or tidying up!). It's such a shame when the money could be spent in Chesham and it would help Chesham businesses. Good luck, I know that lots of mums and kids will be grateful if you set one up, as long as it's not too expensive.

It's a no brainer as far as I'm concerned. Yes please! Safe, fun place for children to play which allows mums to take a break. Can't think why it hasn't happened already.

Ha - I can categorically state that Hartbeeps would be VERY interested in using a Chesham (Wendover / Tring / Great Missenden / Stoke Mandeville!) soft play as a venue!!!
I'd be there with bells, whistles and duck hats on the opening day!!
Now all we need is someone to set it up!
